Here we are at the start of a new year with new ideas and new motivations, all with the inspiring goal of seeing our lives improved for the better. Setting healthier New Year resolutions is the beginning of a deeper self-awareness of how our lives can improve and the ignition of new dream to who we could become if we made these resolutions into reality.
How can we ensure that the goals we set will develop a lifestyle that we can maintain for the next 12 months or 12 years?
Setting the right goal & having a deep understanding of the motivation behind it will propel you to achieving your goals and help you maintain them.
Here is my story:
I have been there many times, 1st of January, motivated with a new goal in mind, and by the 11th of January, that goal as long subsided into the abyss of my mind. Not achieved, not maintained, simply put back into the closet from which it came. That left me with a bit of discouragement and made me feel like that vision of the person I wanted to become was out of my reach. It was not until I discovered the art of setting goals, the real way of setting goals. I am not talking about that standard “I will not eat sugar every day” kind of goal. No, this was deeper, richer, and more achievable than I imagined, and I didn’t even need to change my goal; I just needed to simplify it, direct it, and give myself a guided map of this goal.
Want to know the secret to achieve your goals? Each week for the next four weeks, I will be going over four crucial steps to setting and achieving goals.
Here is the breakdown of what we will cover in each blog post. As they are uploaded, I will link them down below!
